HETTY LOXSTON
my work
I am a versatile vocalist from London. Classically trained in the UK (Trinity Laban and Lancaster University) and in Italy (Conservatorio di Bologna), I perform as a soloist, the lead singer of a number of bands and as a session singer.
I perform a varied repertoire from 1920s vintage numbers to present-day pop and soul. Having lived in Italy for five years, I am a fluent Italian speaker and I developed a large Italian repertoire of timeless Italian songs, jazz and folk music. I love to weave exotic Spanish and Cuban songs, French chanson, and Brazilian Bossa Nova into my set.
I have experience performing at some of the U.K.'s most prestigious venues including The Tower of London, Hever Castle, the V&A Museum, The Royal Academy of Art, Verdi's at the Royal Albert Hall, Chiswick House, The Beaumont Estate. St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Searcy's at the Gherkin, The Shangrila at the Shard, The Dorchester Hotel, One Marylebone, Annabelle's Mayfair, The Royal Horseguards Hotel, One Whitehall Place, Kensington Roof Gardens, Madison, St Pauls and Soho Farmhouse.
International performances also include Majeez Hotel, Egypt, an Italian Swing Festival in Rhodes at 5* 'Albergo Delle Rose, Casino Rodos' Hotel, Perelik World Music Festival in Bulgaria, Carribean Club, Kiev, and a variety of weddings and private celebrations in Italy including; on a superyacht in Portovenere, 5* Luxury Resort 'La Verdura', in Agrigento, and Luxury Villas like the Villa di Maiano in Fiesole, Florence, in Gallipoli, Lake Garda, Pisa and Taormina.
Recent Festival performances in the UK include Henley Jazz Festival and Aldeburgh Music Festival. In 2020 I was invited to perform with Hetty and the Jazzato Band at Moscow Performing Arts Centre and Jazz, The Rodin Museum in Paris, and a Blues Festival Valcea in Romania.
I am also passionate about singing for health. I am the resident singer for the CW+ Charity at the Chelsea and Westminster and West Middlesex Hospitals and performed for the Alzheimer's Society, Jewish Care and MIHC Charities.
