JAZZATO BAND
ITALIAN JAZZ AND SWING
Jazzato Band is an Anglo-Italian jazz project led by vocalist Hetty, created to explore the rich musical heritage of Italy through the lens of vintage swing, gypsy jazz and cinematic songwriting. Inspired by a long-standing connection to Italian culture and music, the project celebrates the spirit of la dolce vita with a repertoire that bridges classic Italian song, jazz standards and reimagined film music.
At the heart of Jazzato’s identity is a distinctive Mediterranean sound world, shaped by interpretations of iconic songs such as Volare, Tu vuò fa l’Americano, Mambo Italiano and Via con Me, alongside material drawn from Italian cinema. These familiar works are given fresh arrangements that retain their nostalgic charm while introducing a contemporary jazz sensibility.
The band has developed a reputation for stylish, high-energy performances that combine musical sophistication with a strong sense of character and atmosphere. With influences spanning 1950s Italian popular music, swing-era jazz and gypsy jazz traditions, Jazzato brings a refined yet playful approach to the stage.
Described in the press as evoking “Mediterranean delights” and bringing fresh lustre to classic repertoire, the ensemble continues to develop its identity as a celebration of Italian musical culture, reimagined for modern audiences.

JAZZ AT THE MOVIES
CINEMATIC JAZZ WITH GIORGIO SERCI'S TRIO AZZURRO
Hetty Loxston Quartet featuring Giorgio Serci is a collaborative project led by vocalist Hetty Loxston and acclaimed guitarist and composer Giorgio Serci, exploring a cinematic approach to contemporary jazz performance.
Drawing on a shared sensitivity to atmosphere, lyricism and storytelling, the ensemble presents reimagined film music and jazz-inflected interpretations of iconic scores. Their performances evoke a “cinematic journey through iconic film music, reimagined with a sophisticated jazz twist”, bringing new life to themes associated with composers such as Ennio Morricone, John Barry and Nino Rota.
At the heart of the project is the interplay between Loxston’s expressive vocal delivery and Serci’s lyrical guitar voice, described as “utterly mesmerising” and marked by “purposeful” and inventive solo lines. Together with a finely attuned rhythm section, the quartet creates performances that balance elegance and emotional depth with improvisational freedom and narrative clarity.
The result is an immersive musical experience where familiar melodies are reframed through jazz harmony and spontaneous interaction, blurring the line between composition and improvisation. The ensemble’s work reflects a shared interest in mood, texture and melodic storytelling, offering audiences a refined and accessible entry point into contemporary jazz performance.
